IFLA is the global voice for libraries, connecting library and information professionals to advance access to information, literacy, cultural heritage, and the freedom to read at a time when each is under pressure. Serving on the Governing Board and working with colleagues across the association and in countries around the world has shown me how much more we can do when we do it together.
That’s why I’m excited to share that I am running for IFLA President in the 2027 election. I have been involved with IFLA for more than 25 years, and I bring a deep commitment to global engagement and inclusive participation. That commitment, combined with a focus on the future, drives my conviction that the world’s libraries thrive when we anticipate change rather than react to it. With your support, I commit to leading the association by working collaboratively, ensuring its long-term sustainability, and keeping our members’ needs at the center. My goal is a global library field that is connected, forward-looking, and delivering for our communities.
